Our STORY
The Woodbridge Agricultural Society is a non-profit organization, chartered in 1847, committed to providing family-oriented education and entertainment for communities near and far. Our mandate is to promote our agricultural heritage, and provide programs to support agricultural education and the rural Ontario lifestyle.
From the early beginnings of our community, farming and agricultural fairs were an important part of the economic and social fabric. Now in the 21st century, we recognize the many changes which have transformed Vaughan into a bustling urban community. The Woodbridge Agricultural Society sees our growth as an opportunity to bring new ideas to the traditional “Fall Fair” heritage.
This year we celebrate Fair traditions with agricultural displays, farm animal exhibits, homecraft competitions, displays of antique and modern farming equipment and activities that reflect our appreciation of the past. We offer a fun-filled family-oriented event full of diverse activities and entertainment, great food and so many interesting sights to see and do. We host a wide range of family entertainment, commercial exhibits, and educational demonstrations, as well as our popular Fair Competitions in the areas of home crafts, baking, art, agriculture, antiques and more, where community members enter to win prizes and bragging rights!
The cost of organizing and promoting successful community events is forever increasing, and therefore our reliance upon generous donations grows each year. We recognize that sponsors are major contributors to the success and future of our Fair, and your support and assistance is always greatly appreciated. In return for your support, we provide as much promotion as possible to feature your business to our event guests and local community.
